Shop for the job

How are you all doing? Fine, I hope!
I know there hasn't been in a post in quite a while, but there hasn't been much happening here ^^"
Last week I was sick, but luckily I'm almost well again. And since my apprenticeship at the dancing school in Radebeul is coming up, I'm in need for some new clothes. Lolita is not really suitable for this job and neither are my other clothes, so Vroni and I made some use of the good weather today and went shopping.

I finally wore Lolita again, even if only in a veeery casual coord:

I really need to clean that mirror...

This is what I bought:

A blue dress, a black top and pinstripe trousers that I still have to shorten the legs on. It was on sale and pretty cheap, so I'll just do it myself. But I also bought a plain black one that was more expensive, so I'll let the seamstress of the shop do it on that one ^^"

And furthermore:

A teal coloured top with a cowl-neck (I swear it's teal, the colour's just not showing that good on the picture) and simple black sports-trousers for the more sporty courses :)

All in all a pretty good haul I think, especially since some of the pieces were on sale.

And now, after a long and hard day of shopping, walking around the city and laying in the sun (harharhar), I'll enjoy my self-made Iced coffee.

2012 starts with shopping

So, first post in 2012. How did you all spand New Year's Eve? I was at Vroni's and Andi's party and had a lot of fun ^^ And even though I drank a lot I didn't even have a hangover the next day :D
As for New Year's resolutions, I didn't make any. From experience I can say that I won't live up to them anyway :)

The new year has so far been a big shopping trip ^^
First we bought two new commodes for our bedroom, so now I finally have a decent place to store things like my underwear, stockings and bedclothes.
Then I bought the first two seasons of one of my favourite series (because they were significantly cheaper than last year :D):

Watching the first two seasons now that the final season is being released is great. It's nice to see how the series evolved, even thoug it was great from the beginning ^^ How about you, do you watch/like Desperate Housewives?

And then of course the Sale-season has begun, so Stefan and I hit the city today and did a little shopping together. Here's what we bought:

Simpsons slippers for Stefan, white slippers for me, Stefan's favourite bonbons, two Boxes for coffeepads, black sport shoes for dancing on Sundays (because the floor in the university gymnasium is not good for my dancing shoes) and a big pile of underwear for me ^^

Presents of awesome

So, an older and wiser Anni is writing to you ;)
I turned 22 on Tuesday and it really was a great birthday.
Shortly after midnight, my boyfriend congratulated me and gave me my first present: a metronome :)
It was a really sweet idea that had come to him when he watched me counting the beats for Sophie and Erik when we taught them dancing. He thought that if I really wanted to become a dancing instructor I could use it to spare my voice the loud and constant counting :D I loved that he had put so much thought into his present but sadly I just had to admit, that I probably would not be able to put it to good use, particularly not at the moment. I was so sorry that it made me cry but we agreed that it would be best if he returned it and then he got me something else instead, which I'll of course show, but first, more on my day ^^
Unfortunately I had to stay at university reeeaally long, so we decided that instead of having a party right on Tuesday, we'd just go out and have some cocktails with my friends (at least those who could come, that is the gang and Janina) and throw a real party next week. ^^ And so we did and it was really great <3 When the waitress at the cocktailbar found out that it was my birthday I even got a cocktail for free and with a sparkler in it *___* Sooo nice!
And as it is tradition on birthdays, I got even more presents :D
My parents couldn't be there on Tuesday by the way, but they came on Wednesday and stayed overnight.
This is what I got from them:

A book about old Egypt, perfume and shower stuff, a scented candle, wonderful (teal) tights, overknees and socks and a bottle of Batida de Coco *yummy*

And this is what I got from my wonderful friends:

The beautiful belt in the front is from my boyfriend, Mia made this great bag for me (she also posted it on her blog), Vroni made the cute Nyancat-necklace (*NYAN NYAN NYAN NYAN NYAN NYAN NYAN NYAN NYAN NYAN NYAN NYAN NYAN NYAN NYAN NYAN*  *coughs* ... just sayin'...) and Sophie got me the candy shells that I'm craving for and this wonderful charm that I tried to take a closer picture of, but it didn't turn out that well >.>

IT'S SCOTLAND!!!! And even with rivers and tiny city-names engraved in it *___*

And on Wednesday a huge package came in the mail that brought another present from Stefans family: A wonderful umbrella *___*

So here once again: A huuuge thank you to all those who gave me these presents and who congratulated me ^^

Oh, I almsot forgot: Sophie and Mia had to leave earlier than the rest of us, but just as they did, we also stopped at the photo box:

And today it was about time for me to buy some winter shoes, so I bought a pair (that I'd never thought I would, but they are so warm and comfy!) and another pair of pumps, because they were on sale :D

Sushi-licious

The title already gives it away: I ate sushi today ^^ It was my first time, so I thought it would be worth mentioning but let's start at the beginning:
My boyfriend asked me to come with him to the custom office today because he had to pick up a package from China and I decided to take out my new Meta skirt:

I show you this now because I later had to change into other clothes when we came back from the office. It was the second time that I wore these shoes and my feet looked (and actually still look) like a swoolen mess afterwards ;________; I hate new shoes... but I also love them, if you know what I mean ;)

Anyways, since we wanted to go into the city, I changed into flip-flops and a long dress to cover my feet XD
And then we went shopping, BUT in my defense: It had to be done. I bought a present and a light jacket for Vronis and Andis wedding (in only two weeks! O.O Are you scared, my dear? ;) ) because my dress doesn't have sleeves and since it's October I just need something in case it's getting cooler.
And then my boyfriend did something über-sweet. When I was first looking for dresses I found one that I was totally in love with but I decided to buy it only a month or so before the wedding in case I might lose or gain some weight (I had hoped for losing, but oh well...nothing happened -.- Well at least I didn't gain any either XD) and when Icame back to buy it, it was gone ;___;  And today it was there again O.o But I just didn't want to spend the money because I actually already have a dress and this month's going to be expensive. But Stefan really liked how I looked in it and knew that I love it and so he bought it for me and said that now I can decide which dress I want to wear ^^ It turns out I actually can't, because we haven't yet found a matching tie for it while we have one for the other dress, but both dresses are beautiful and I'm sure I'll find an occasion to wear the other one, so I'm fine with that ^^ Enough with the talking, that's the dress:

The picture really doesn't do it justice, it's much more beautiful in reality. the colour is green-ish/teal-ish/blue-ish... hard to say, but incredibly beautiful (most of you probably know that I dig anything teal or turquoise XD)

Well, then I bought some new thread for my cross-stitching. After i had used up all of the old one it looked like this:

Well, and afterwards we ate my first sushi and I have to say, I wouldn't want to eat it everyday but it tastes quite interesting and good. And with sushi, soy-sauce actually tastes good XD
On our way home, we stopped at the bubble tea bar (as always XD) and already when we entered the ladies working there started smiling and greeted us incredibly friendly because they already know us pretty good XD We just completed our third (or even fourth?) bonus card and when she stamped it she said "So you can have one free tomorrow!"  Damn, she knows me way too good XD

BTW, do you actually read everything I write here? I have the feeling these long posts could be intimidating XD

An outfit and shopping

A few days ago I met with Sophie in the city and this is what I wore. Nothing special but I thought I'd share it with you because I wore my new shoes, my new necklace and my new bag ^^

Bad photo is bad... or maybe I'm just ugly XD Look at my arm, it's monstrous O.o

Today the weather was so nice here in Dresden that we just had to leave the house ^^ And we wanted to get some things, so we (my boyfriend and me by the way <3) went shopping.
We bought quite a few things for our flat and some uninteresting stuff (and some nice new clothes for Stefan), so I just show you the things I find best:

Sweeeets <3 Some sherbert bonbons and Jelly Bellies *yummy*
The flip-flops perfectly match my blue summer dress (although now there is even less black in this outfit *gnnnn*) and now that summer is nearly over (although it feels like we never had summer here in Germany this year) they only cost 2€!
Then there's a cool striped sweater underneath the whole stuff (it's blue by the way, the photo looks quite purple-ish on my screen) and a matching nailpolish.
And finally a liptint. It's the Perfect Stay by Astor and it was recommended to me by Mimi because I really don't like the way conventional lipstick feels on your lips. I tried it out in the store and it really feels a lot better. In fact, you don't feel it at all XD I picked a shade that is very close to my natural lip colour because I mainly want to make my lips look even. In particular the sides of my upper lip are always so pale, they are almost blue :/ Now I just have to practice applying it because I was always bad at applying lipsticks and this one's even a little harder because it's like a felt tip but I think it'll work with some practise ^^

And furthermore, the Bodyline sale has finally arrived ^^ Sophie wants to order some things and asked if I want to have something, too, so I take this one in green:

I've had my eye on this for quite some time and even though I don't fit into the corset-thingy I thought it was about time to take a shot at it ^^

Taobao Review

Yieha, the first package of our taobao order arrived today!
So now here is the promised review of my items. I'm going to make a small review on Taobaospree at egl, maybe it's helpful for someone ^^
As a reminder, here you can see what I ordered.

This was the package:

Yeah I know, who cares, but I was excited, so I had to start taking pictures right away XD
It was packed nicely and had this sign with my name on it:

It looks like those oldschool signs that everyone had on his books in elementary school XD So cute <3

This is all of my stuff together:

Even the shoes were packed separately! And this was also in the package:

I didn't even know I ordered stuff from Gucci XD It's some kind of product care advice but I don't know to which item it belongs. It has to be something made from real leather but i don't know how to determine what is artificial and what is real XD

Okay, let's start with the necklace:

It came with a cute little note that I of course can't read and it's a bit shorter than I expected. The pendant is quite heavy and I really like the style of the necklace. I guess I can't really say much more about this ^^

Next, the bag:

You can already see it in the picture of the back: It wasn't wrapped as good as the other items, so now it has those imprints from Sophies bag, which was under it. In turn, hers has imprints from my bag, and not even in the back but in the front -.- I'm so sorry for that!

Hopefully this will be less visible after some time and use.
It's quite roomy. I think it can easily hold my purse, my mobile and all this stuff that a gril just likes to carry around XD Maybe even an umbrella... I'll try that later ^^

Next up, a pair of shoes. I ordered one pair in 38 and one in 39,hoping that at least one will fit. I'm happy to say that both fit, even though the 39 one is little more comfortable, but that's also due to the design.
First, the 38 pair:

Aren't they beautiful? I think they are gorgeous! They are a little tighter than the other pair but the only thing that's really bothering is that it's a little uncomfortable in the back of my ankle. But there were some pads in the package, maybe they'll help. Unfortunately the shoes are not flawless:

A white spot where the material comes off a little, some fine white glue lines and some dents but these are all barely visible when worn. Speaking of worn:

Edit: Since many people seem curious about it, the shoes (both pairs) are from HERE ^^

And at last, the other pair of shoes:

They are so cute <3 But also elegant when you wear them without the bows and that's why I bought them. They are so versatile! As you can see here, they are also a little dented and have those glue lines, but again you can't see that when they are worn:

You close them with push buttons but apparently I have fat ankles because I had to make them as wide as possible XD

Mum's the best ^^

Today my mum visited us to bring some books from the library of my hometown. This is kind of a "happening" to us because we live 250km apart from each other and I was really happy to see her.
I've always been pretty close with my mum and so I really miss hanging out with her.

Anyways, we went on a little shopping-tour since she hadn't even seen the new part of Dresden's central shopping centre, "Altmarkt Galerie", yet.
And there I found this lovely shirt that was on sale and just couldn't resist:

I love the upper part:

Even though they are two different shades of red the shirt looks pretty good together with my new skirt.

A whole new world - Taobao

A few days ago I placed my first Taobao order(s) (after I had been bothering my shopping service with questions for days XD). I'm quite excited about it and so I thought I'd share with you what I ordered:

First, a dress that is going to take about a month to make because I get it made to my measurements:

I've been having an eye on this like... forever, and now I finally took the plunge ^^
Mia also ordered a dress, maybe she's going to show it to you on her blog ;)
We decided to order the dresses seperate from the other items which are likely to be ready to ship earlier. That's also an advantage when it comes to customs ^^

So, on to my other items. 2 pairs of shoes:

I ordered them in 2 different sizes, hoping that at least one will fit ^^

Then there's a necklace that might seem familiar:

It's a replica of the pirate's medallion from Pirates of the Carribean and I love it ^^ As you already know, my favourite lolita style is pirate and this of course suits the style (or would it already count as cosplay? XD). It's about time I get a nice pirate-y outfit...

And then there's a black violin bag. I always wanted one of these *__*

Actually I also wanted a parasol but that one's sold out :( By the way, Sophie also ordered something, maybe she'll show it to you on her blog, too XD

And now the big news hit egl. There's a replica of Vampire Requiem on taobao, made by Dream of Lolita. There's a skirt and 2 JSKs (one short, one long). The skirt doesn't fit but the JSKs do and at least the longer one looks pretty nice to me:

I haven't ever worn a high-waisted dress, so I don't know if they suit me but getting a nice looking one for about 30 € might be a good way to find out?! So I'm really thinking about adding one to our order but I'm not even sure which colour I'd take. I have the blue fabric from which I'm probably going to make a skirt (though I don't have it in person, it's still at Mia's and I haven't even seen it yet XD) so if I take a dress it would be either red or black. I'd actually rather take black because I love black and don't even have a black dress, but it looks rather grey-ish on the picture and not as detailed as the red version... so in the end it would probably be the red one... *sigh* Any advice?

Oh and of course I'll make a review once I have my items ^^

Surface Spell Cathedral Gothic JSK

As I promised yesterday, here's my little "review" (it's not really a review, it's rather me bragging about how great it is XD) of my new dress.
This is it, front and back:

I don't know why, but somehow I had thought it was a print, but it's a lovely embroidery!
Have a look at it:

I'm so in love with this moon! It's so cute *__*

And these little bats are so great!

But as great as the dress is, it certainly isn't flawless. The underskirt and especially the tulle that peeks out at the bottom of the dress is uneven:

That's the bottom of the dress inside out. When it's worn you don't recognise it from the front, but in the back you can see it, because the tulle disappears completely under the skirt. I'll see if I can fix that.

But apart from that it's perfect. The fit of it is amazing and it even holds my poofy petticoat! I was a little worried there wouldn't be anough room for it underneath so that I would have to wear it with my casual petti, but it works ^^

By the way, it came with two detachable bows with small cross charms and a rose corsage (that Hurley has already been playing with -.-)
