How was your week? Mine was okay. I'm having a little trouble with my right foot, but I make it work somehow. The show must go on ;)
So, on to the next topic of the Lolita 52 challenge:
This is definitely one of the easier questions and some of you may already know the answer, because it was quite obvious in my former blog design. It's "Dance of the black cat" by Alice and the pirates:
I especially love the JSK Version II in the black colourway, which is why it's on the top of my wishlist. But the green colourway is also nice.
But there is also another print that I love that is a little more recent (though still already a little older). It's "End of Immortal Eden", also by Alice and the pirates. I love all the colourways and especially the JSK, but unfortunately it wouldn't fit me :(
How about you, what are your favourite prints?

Week 2
First off: Woohoo! This week I passed my driving exam at the first attempt and now I have my driver's license! I am so happy that I'm finally done with this, the lessons were really expensive -.-
So as a kind of "reward" for myself (and because it was necessary) I got my hair cut today. I wanted to get the last remains of my attempt to become blonde out of my hair and now it's maybe a little too short for my taste. But it was worth it, now my hair colour is consistent again :)
And now it's time for the second part of the Lolita 52 Challenge, so let's see what I pulled out of the box:
Wow, that's a tough one.
As I told you, I didn't really have the time to follow the recent trends, so it's kind of hard to say what could be the next.
"Alice and the Pirates" pay homage to Elizabeth of Austria-Hungary with their most recent (and gorgeous) release (Does anyone know why you can't see the JSKs anymore?). Maybe other brands will do something like that too? Lolita fashion draws much inspiration from historical fashion, so I think it would be really cool to see not only elements of historical clothing but also prints that depict historic events or personalities, like Marie Antoinette, Catherine II of Russia or Elizabeth I.
I just love history :)
But with spring lurking around the corner I could also see Country Lolita having a comeback, with straw hats and baskets, Vichy check and fruit and flower prints.
What do you say, what's the next Lolita trend?

Another Brand-rant (IW)
Innocent World is one of my favourite brands, right after Alice and the Pirates.
But the size issue that I addressed in my last brand-rant is even worse when it comes to IW.
Most of their dresses only go up to 98 (bust) and 81 cm (waist) and sadly that's just not enough for me ;___;
The only dresses that I can fit into are misshapen ones like these:
(The Square Yoke Doll Onepiece and the Bianca Jumperskirt)
I apologise to all of you who think that these are beautiful but I just think they are plain fugly -.-
So I had actually already accepted that I just don't fit into IW (yet) and I was okay with that.
Until recently when they started introducing the most charming JSK designs ever.
It all started with the Luna Stripe Halter JSK:
Isn't this one of the prettiest dresses ever? I mean, if we just leave the stripes and the buttons on the bodice front aside because always I love those elements, this neckline (or not existing neckline? O.o) is incredibly elegant and instantly caught my attention. It's so unusual for a lolita dress, maybe because it's not exactly what you would call "cute". With its simplicity and its originality it's just perfect for a more mature and classic look.
I was quite curious if they would stick to this design because it didn't seem to be that popular (Why not? Please tell me, why not? O.o) and indeed, a little while later they released this dress:
The Dot Print Halter Neck Jumperskirt. I have to admit, this one doesn't appeal to me that much but still it has this intriguing neckline. The A-line skirt and the belt give it a nice 50's-touch and that chiffon-ribbon is also quite cute.
And now there is a new dress up for reserve that I may even like better than the first one. The Random Dot Jumperskirt:
I love the pleated skirt and the bodice is so beautifully designed *___* And those irregular dots are so cute ^^
What do you think of these dresses? Maybe this neckline does/does not appeal to you?
I think that in general almost all of IW's dresses are gorgeous but designs like these are what make them so unique. So now it's time to lose weight to fit into them :D

Plus-sized Brand-rant (AatP)
As a lolita one has to admit: Brands do matter. They start trends, are prestigious and after all, in many cases their designs are beautiful.
As a plus-sized lolita one has to admit: Size does matter.
And somehow these two facts are mutually incompatible. At least they used to be. Little by little some brands are starting to introduce larger sizes, among them my favourite brand: Alice and the Pirates.
If we just ignore the fact that I cannot afford brand, I should be jumping for joy but somehow... I don't.
The AatP dresses that are made to fit larger sizes rarely seem as beaufitul to me as those who are not.
Let's see some examples.
The Beauty & the Rose Promise JSK. Maybe it looks better in real life but this cut, this somehow shiny fabric and this print just don't appeal to me :/
Next up: Vampire Forest. The cut of this dress is actually quite nice but this print is just... so not my thing. When I first heard the name I had a nice dress with a dark border print, depicting the silhouette of a forest, in mind, maybe with some evil glowing eyes. (I still think that this would be an awesome print *___*) I was really disappointed when I saw it and even if this is not the typical case of a lace monster, the lace on the top seems quite monstrous to me.
Another example: Melty Mermaid Princess. The idea behind this print is really nice, the execution, however, could have been a little better but I could live with that. It's just that this cut seems extremely unflattering to me and why on earth would they use a different shade of purple for the lacing in the front than for the print itself?
Their newest prints also offer items for us larger girls but again I am a little disappointed.
For example the Lock the Pandora's memories skirt. This name also made me hope for something incredibly awesome but it turned out that it is an all-over-print that is... not really my thing. They made a skirt with this print that you can turn into a salopette. A great idea but still... just not my thing.
And now there is Misty Night Royal game and one of the dresses can stretch so much that I could gain double the weight that I've lost since last year and still fit into it XD I like the whole chess motif but I think all of the items just lack some plain-coloured parts to break the whole busy-ness of the print. I'd love to like it but... I just don't -.-
*sigh* Being plus-sized can be a curse but luckily it's not hopeless, at least not when it come to AatP.
There are rare exceptions like the Vanilla corset jumper skirt. It's elegant, rather simple and stunning. And I fit into it ^^
So now it's time to whine about not having any money XD But that's a different story and will be told another day ;)
After all we should not forget that brand is not everything. As long as an outfit is creative and well put together it doesn't matter if you spent a penny or a fortune on it. Sadly a lot of girls forget that lolita is not about status symbols but about beauty and creativity.
So, what do you think of these dresses or of the topic "brand" in general? ^^

Sushi-licious
The title already gives it away: I ate sushi today ^^ It was my first time, so I thought it would be worth mentioning but let's start at the beginning:
My boyfriend asked me to come with him to the custom office today because he had to pick up a package from China and I decided to take out my new Meta skirt:
I show you this now because I later had to change into other clothes when we came back from the office. It was the second time that I wore these shoes and my feet looked (and actually still look) like a swoolen mess afterwards ;________; I hate new shoes... but I also love them, if you know what I mean ;)
Anyways, since we wanted to go into the city, I changed into flip-flops and a long dress to cover my feet XD
And then we went shopping, BUT in my defense: It had to be done. I bought a present and a light jacket for Vronis and Andis wedding (in only two weeks! O.O Are you scared, my dear? ;) ) because my dress doesn't have sleeves and since it's October I just need something in case it's getting cooler.
And then my boyfriend did something über-sweet. When I was first looking for dresses I found one that I was totally in love with but I decided to buy it only a month or so before the wedding in case I might lose or gain some weight (I had hoped for losing, but oh well...nothing happened -.- Well at least I didn't gain any either XD) and when Icame back to buy it, it was gone ;___; And today it was there again O.o But I just didn't want to spend the money because I actually already have a dress and this month's going to be expensive. But Stefan really liked how I looked in it and knew that I love it and so he bought it for me and said that now I can decide which dress I want to wear ^^ It turns out I actually can't, because we haven't yet found a matching tie for it while we have one for the other dress, but both dresses are beautiful and I'm sure I'll find an occasion to wear the other one, so I'm fine with that ^^ Enough with the talking, that's the dress:
The picture really doesn't do it justice, it's much more beautiful in reality. the colour is green-ish/teal-ish/blue-ish... hard to say, but incredibly beautiful (most of you probably know that I dig anything teal or turquoise XD)
Thank you so much, my darling :-*
Well, then I bought some new thread for my cross-stitching. After i had used up all of the old one it looked like this:
Maybe I'll continue with it today.
Well, and afterwards we ate my first sushi and I have to say, I wouldn't want to eat it everyday but it tastes quite interesting and good. And with sushi, soy-sauce actually tastes good XD
On our way home, we stopped at the bubble tea bar (as always XD) and already when we entered the ladies working there started smiling and greeted us incredibly friendly because they already know us pretty good XD We just completed our third (or even fourth?) bonus card and when she stamped it she said "So you can have one free tomorrow!" Damn, she knows me way too good XD
BTW, do you actually read everything I write here? I have the feeling these long posts could be intimidating XD

Brand-tastic! XD
I have been looking for it for quite some time and now I finally have it: The flocky rose print skirt by Meta!
It has just arrived and I'm quite happy with it, though it is a little shorter and thinner than I had expected. But still, it's soooo beautiful! *__* Have a look:
This print is so pretty *_____*
And this is me wearing it with my casual petti:
A few days ago, the bodyline skirt I had ordered has also arrived but sadly it doesn't look good on me so I'm going to sell it :(

Oh Meta, why...Why are you doing this to me?
So, Metamorphose temps de fille are releasing a new series, Night of the Masquerade, and I have to say, I LOVE it.
The print is gorgeous, so much more beautiful than Aatp's new print Twilight Circus!
Just have a look at it:
I can't even decide which colourway I like most because they are all awesome! But if I had to I guess I would pick the blue one because you can see the details best in it and the blue roses are so nice *__*
I'm not too fond of the OP design, except for those buttons and the chains on the bodice, but the JSK is stunning!
Unfortunately they don't fit me, how else should it be? -.- There are also several skirt designs and a lovely bustier and the socks are also quite nice. One of the skirts is very simple but fully shirred so it would even fit me, but I couldn't afford reserving one because of a Taobao-order I placed. It's going to come out in September but reservation starts on the 12th of August. Who knows, maybe some shirred skirts will still be left for the regular online store afterwards? (Haha, yeah, as if... -.-)
What do you think of the print and which colourway do you prefer? ^^
